In between to still the mind

In between, glancing behind, 

Wondering at the road ahead, trying to still the mind

Between lotus and mud lies the arduous journey — Samsara, with its duties and demands. The constructs of society. The responsibilities of son, father, husband, friend, citizen, employee.

But the calling never stops. You did not will it. It willed you. Who knows?

The imperfections — the avidya of the mind — may require a guide, even medicine, to cross the temporary hurdles along the path.

And irrespective of all the masters telling you to watch, observe, and be the witness, what they do not tell you - is how long?  How long?

How then does one walk the path?  Will he arrive at the gateless gate? In this life or next? We know not. 

But now in the middle, there is no turning back, we walk forward with awareness, selective indifference, conserving personal power, watching fate vs effort interplay, and knowing we have many lifetimes to get there.

One step at a time, towards liberation of the self, to help liberate others.

May the universe bless every seeker. May the one divine consciousness carry us in its flow, guiding each step into the unknown.

Will the universe show a sign?
